PATHWAY REFLECTION

I Ranga Sai pursuing MS Data Analytics Engineering have been in Graduate Pathway program provided by INTO Mason. The courses provided in this pathway program were PROV 504 and EAP 508. Both the courses offered valuable information. EAP 508 taught us how to understand a reading. We come across different readings in our daily life and we intend to write for others to read. This process of reading, is said to be meaningful only when the concept is understood and this grasping of concept from a reading is learnt from this course. The main additive of this course was that it wasn’t taught narratively, whereas it was learnt by discussing the articles in groups. This act of teaching also included presentation of power points which encouraged in increasing my vocabulary skills. Annotating articles and learning the gist of them is a process that everybody should inculcate in regards to easy understanding of the concept.
PROV 504, taught elements of our college amenities like Library Support, Professional products, Visual and Oral Presentation. These elements helped me develop over the constraints I had initially. In the beginning I wasn’t aware of use of library. But after attending the library support class, I understood the principles of it.
Both the courses were informative and useful for me. The one constraint I had was the hectic course work.
