I am writing this in response to the job posting for Business Analyst by your firm in Hire Mason. I browsed through the “Mind the Carbon Gap: An Alternative Outlook for Aviation Emissions” insight in your company’s website and I am excited about your recent projects related to it. I am currently pursuing MS in Data Analytics (major – Applied Analytics) (1st year I Semester) in Volgenau school of Engineering, George Mason University. I find the position offered apt to me, as I had been working as an Analyst and gained knowledge in it for the last 3 years (July 11 – June 14) for two different companies.
My interest towards Analytics grew when I was an undergraduate and I now endeavor to become a Big Data specialist. During my 3yrs of experience I gained expertise in designing statistical models, interpreting quantitative data, Data base management & preparation of forecasts based on data.
During my work with the first company, I learnt statistical analytics, data collection & analysis and evaluated new software for development. In my last company (Google) that I served, I gained in depth knowledge on statistical analytics, database management and geographical mapping. It had been a great experience working with these companies as I acquired knowledge with respect to work, personal & professional ethics on a global platform.
I currently have been learning and working on software’s like R and Hadoop, which are related to data mining and visualization. My skills also include having strong analytical & critical thinking and excellent communication skills.
